I am planning to appear for OCS 2026. What is the best preparation strategy for Prelims? How many months of preparation is needed? Which coaching is best in Bhubaneswar?

Start with NCERT books for basics. Then move to standard reference books. Join a test series. 8-10 months is ideal for full preparation. Focus on Odisha-specific topics as they carry good weightage.
I cleared OCS in my second attempt. My strategy was: 1) NCERT completion in 2 months, 2) Standard books for 4 months, 3) Revision + Test series for 3 months. Daily newspaper reading is a must.
